Art as Life: Artist JR Collaborates with the New York City Ballet

Paris-based artist and photographer, JR has been commissioned by the New York City Ballet to create a piece of performance art inspired by the energy and spirit of the dancers, as part of the NYCB Art Series 2014.

The installation will be seen in three live performances over three evenings at the Lincoln Center in January and February, in which a group of male and female contemporary dancers will interact with white paper to reveal a human eye. Watch the video above to catch a sneak preview of the special performance, while tickets for each evening can be purchased via the New York City Ballet website.
