Those looking to do a little vintage holiday shopping in the London area should pop by Arckiv, a temporary space filled with a veritable treasure trove of carefully selected military and workwear apparel and accessories, open now through December 20th in Shoreditch. Arckiv itself is actually a new menswear label that aims to produce ‘meaningful artifacts which relate to each other and to the whole,’ culling ideas and and improving on past prototypes from their vast museum-quality archive of rare military garments, workwear and 19th century costume. The pop-up shop is merely a sneak preview of future collections, which will consist of limited-edition, modified vintage and prototype garments. A selection of the owner’s vintage-inspired eyewear is on hand as well, displayed alongside authentic Italian acetate samples from the mid-20th century– a holiday gift perfectly suited for any discerning dandy.
To read more about this exciting new label, visit arckiv’s website and visit the store in person at The Gallery in Redchurch Street, 50 Redchurch Street, London E2 7DP from 11am-7pm, through December 20th.
