London: Departing completely from their grunge looks of a few seasons ago, Antipodium went in a softer, but still subversive, direction for S/S 12. Dubbed “Interiors,” by Creative Director Geoffrey Finch, the collection aimed to capture the “dark, beautiful and slightly sinister side of the familiar,” via twists on classics like varsity jackets, cotton frocks and button up blouses. Grounded by a 70s palette of pumpkin, avocado and beige, touches of monochrome white, aquamarine and princess pink kept everything seasonally appropriate, while bold head-to-toe conversational prints and shiny black leather added edge. Trend conscious but witty, Antipodium always exemplifies the young London look. —Nina Stotler
