Anteprima F/W 2013

Anteprima F/W 2013

Milan: The film noir inspirations that have been emerging this season become more prevalent as each day passes. Today, designer Izumi Ogino added Anteprima to the growing list of labels to embrace the story. With a fog-filled runway, Ogino sent out a range of darkly romantic looks in moody tones, punctuated by blazing red. Following Prada’s lead, many of the skirts were full, though Anteprima’s were of a longer length, grazing the mid-calf or even extended toward the ankle. Knits are the label’s signature, so it was no surprise that they stood out. In addition to classic items, such as fine-gauge turtlenecks and comfy sweater dresses, Ogino took chances with furry knit pieces, extra-chunky sweaters and cardigans, and separates knit from shiny black strips of leather that looked like cassette tape. The balance of traditional and challenging items worked, and the mysterious mood was perfectly of-the-moment. –Joanna Manganaro
