Anorak magazine, the alternative activity magazine for kids releases a new preschool magazine this Month entitled Dot.  The Magazine claims to “encompass all aspects of a child’s life, from jumping in puddles to learning through play. It encourages kids to be resourceful and find solutions using all the tools they naturally have at their disposition: imagination, creativity and fun.” The bold, eye-catching designs by chief designer, Anna Dunn remind us of 20th Century graphic artist Fredun Shapur.

Anorak have also championed two of their favourite characters Pam & Tom to star in a stand-alone colouring book illustrated by Ben Javens  . Full colour illustrations sit next to line drawing versions for kids to re create or not. The kid’s team can’t get enough of the warm nostalgic colour usage and simple narrative throughout. Both publications make a tempting option for those parents, looking for an alternative choice to the regular, commercially focused magazine for their kids.
