New York: For her Cruise/Resort 13 collection, titled “Anna’s Garden,” Anna Sui’s signature prints were infused with flowers. Even the lace items featured flower motifs. Maintaining her classic Biba- and Art Deco-inspired style, the flowers were a subtle addition that one had to look closely to see. Prints were often mixed, or placed in scarf-like patterns for the caftans, pajama pants, dirndl skirts, and vintage-y dresses shown. Sui’s consistency with her boho chic look has paid off, as the 1970s have been inspiring many designers of late. While many of them appear to be jumping on the 70s bandwagon, Sui has been doing this for years, making her collections feel authentic and sincere. –Joanna Manganaro
