NEW YORK…Anna Sui has proven to be one of the most consistent designers on the fashion roster, exploring ethnic tinged themes season after season, as well as championing a variety of causes. For Fall it was a public spat with Forever 21 which got Sui going, while S/S 09 found her looking to save New York’s garment center from gentrification. Activism aside, Sui also presented a typically youthful and fun collection, gathering a variety of prints and traditional influences, from stripes and polka dots to Russian embroidery and batik. Key pieces for juniors will be easy cargo shorts, strapless mini dresses and deep green safari jackets.
