Layer upon layer of knitwear caused a sensation at the Missoni show. In every element—from outerwear to accessories and sportswear—there was something for everyone. Spiderweb knit dresses (reminiscent of sweaters signature to a certain New York design duo) updated this Italian knit-house’s traditional techniques for the women of today. Another dimension was added to the look with ribbed leggings in muted cosmetic tones. Shaggy cardigans and fur-trimmed jackets were matched with floor-sweeping tasseled scarves. Head covers included knit berets in lurex-blended yarns for added shine along with hood-like tube scarves draped over loose tresses. Placement print silk slip dresses were mixed with all of these elements to yield a thoroughly well thought-out collection.
