New York: For Pre-fall 2015, Yigal Azrouël took us on a captivating journey where androgyny blends with feminine silhouettes in distinctive materials. The designer’s outing was sexy and urbane, where engineered constructions, sharp tailoring and astute pairing fused together. The main focus of the collection was on texture and fabric – braided leather, delicate jacquards and a basket weave material made of multiple threads were standouts. The brand’s favoured leather jackets and furs were reimagined with peplum details, emphasized waistlines and distinctive cut-outs. Azrouël’s signature minimalist palette was completed with cool blues and greys – sexy yet unfussy. – Diego Sanchez
