Dolce & Gabbana continues with its signature campaign theme of family for A/W 15, focusing on the role of motherhood, which the brand commemorated during the collection’s runway show in March.
The large cast of over 20 models included in the brand’s men’s and women’s advertising features the Dolce family from big to small starting with model Ashleigh Good’s eight-month-old daughter through to the same grandmother’s featured in last season’s campaign.
The images show the family laughing and participating in selfie photos with both the older women and younger models featured, some also wearing the jewel encrusted headphones that were used on the runway.
One could be mistaken for thinking that designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were painting the picture of the modern family were it not for the pair embroiled in a controversy around comments made against IVF earlier this year.
Nonetheless the campaign images portray an elevated snapshot of the lively Italian family, albeit a ‘traditional’ one. Prominent models include actress Monica Bellucci, Ashleigh Good (and daughter Emily), Sora Choi, Esmerelda Seay Reynolds and Vittoria Ceretti.
The campaign is also accompanied by the hashtag #DGfamily.
