Covetable Brit brand AllSaints finally threw open its doors in Soho last week, unveiling a sprawling, 13,600-square-foot flagship. This is the label’s first outpost in New York, and it went for a studiously hip, vintage vibe, decking the space in distressed leather chairs, weathered wood, exposed brick, and oxidized steel. Vintage Singer sewing machines are stacked impressively along the front walls and a loom from the 1920s graces the ground floor.
The street-level floor is dedicated to the ladies and is awash in full-skirted dresses, lightweight leather jackets, strappy sandals (plus a serious selection of lace-up boots), skinny jeans, and slinky asymmetrical knits. The men’s floor below offers a slew of rumpled button-downs, leather jackets, faded blazers, and graphic tees. Many of the styles have a decidedly artisan feel with hand-crafted-influenced details like exposed labels and dramatic stitching.
