Alexis Mabille

“Mirror Images” was the theme of Alexis Mabille’s Spring 11 couture offering, and it was hard to miss the point. Showing identical pieces in different colors and fabrications (for example a square-cut sheath dress was shown in both a vivid print and pure white), the end result was somewhat like looking in a fun-house mirror. While the conceit was amusing at first, the repetition took away from an otherwise pretty 70s-inflected collection.
