Milan: Creative director Sarah Burton again successfully blended her own voice with that of her late boss and mentor. F/W 11 was a celebration of British aristocracy and royal military uniforms — exhibiting a dramatic flare for bringing historical references up-to-date, in keeping with the aesthetic of the label’s namesake designer. The rich Baroque setting and impeccably groomed models further increased the pomp and circumstance of the collection.
