Paris: Fall 2014 at Akris meant a chance to experiment with chiaroscuro. Some garments were split down the middle in black and white as if a shadow were cast on one shoulder, while others were double-faced or mixed sheer and opaque materials to play with the light. The final few looks took the inspiration to another level with light-up appliqué. – Deirdre Pérez
