Designer Agnès Troublé (better known as agnès b.) has been a fan of Barneys New York for years, so when she got the opportunity to create an exclusive capsule collection for the retailer, she jumped at the chance. Debuting in stores and online last week, the collection consist of pieces that are meant to be essentials for a well-dressed man’s fall wardrobe: slim suits, lightweight striped knits, crisp woven shirts, and wool outerwear, in addition to accessories like wool/cashmere scarves and ties. Leather shows up on a black motorcycle jacket, a thin black leather tie, gloves and a belt. Retails range from $165 for a long-sleeve striped T-shirt to $850 for a wool overcoat, and a women’s collection may happen next season, according to Troublé.
