Earlier this week we found out about the adidas Originals x Burton limited edition streetwear collaboration. A match made in Beastie Boys heaven, the F/W 10 collection features seven footwear styles and twenty-one pieces of clothing. We are really digging the hybrid snowboots and shearling lined zip-up jacket. The placed print on the shoulder reads Burton, while the other sleeve reps the iconic Adidas stripes.
These hiker-inspired brown and orange Superstars kill it, with support from an expedition jacket, that appears to have a detachable quilted liner.
The logo designed for the project is one of the raddest things we have seen in a while… such a clever way to merge two brand indentities. Greg Dacyshyn, Senior VP & Creative Director, Burton Snowboards, called the collaboration, “a totally fresh and progressive blend of our two cultures.”
“When you find the right partner, it compliments both brands… while bringing something new to both of our consumers. Burton was the one and only choice for us when we decided to transform our product from the street to the slopes,” said Ben Pruess, Vice President adidas Originals.
The gear will be available November 2010 in select adidas Originals and Burton Flagship Stores around the world. The catch…. sadly, for one season only.
