BACKWOODS MOTORCYCLE PUNK
Paris: Last season Adam Kimmel was influenced by rapper Snoop Dogg, but for F/W 11 Kimmel drew inspiration from Northwestern artist Dan Attoe. Kimmel’s muse, who he describes as a “backwoods motorcycle punk,” is known for eerie, whimsical interpretations of the forest landscape in which he lives. The designer channeled Attoe’s aesthetic into mountain man looks that were rugged, romantic, cool and fashion-forward. The collection was well-rounded and varied, with offerings that ranged from traditional biker garb and workwear items to preppy suits, cut from corduroys and casual wools.
