ACTIVE x Festival Season

With Coachella only days away, taking place on two back-to-back weekends of April 12-14 & April 19-21, it’s only fitting we thought to call out our favorite active brands that are embracing festival season with cool, new product. In our opinion, who better than the labels that create technical gear, to produce key items for festival-goers – considering the fact that a typical night and day on fairgrounds, one must endure, either extreme heat or cold, long walks and shelter when camping. Below is a list of our top three brands that have created ideal examples for anyone who has needs when venturing to a music festival around the globe:

Two brands we absolutely adore, Alite and Free People, announced yesterday their collaboration on the Alite x Free People Tent  – a two-person dome, perfect for the musical festival season.

“For people not necessarily accustomed to camping, music festivals are a great first step to enjoying the outdoors and getting inspired to go outside more and more.  Free People is a perfect collaboration partner because they have the strongest presence in the outdoor music festival and fashion market,” explains Tae Kim, creative director and founder of Alite Designs. “In addition to collaborating on the color and print direction, Alite has added special features to this familiar two-person tent design in order to optimize it for the Free People, music festival audience.”

Burton Snowboards makes some of the best, most technically advanced snowboard bags and luggage in the world. So it comes as no surprise that the iconic brand has also created several packs and backpacks ideal for storing personal items and cold beverages. Insulated cooler packs like the Lil’ Buddy and a rucksack styling with the Tinder Pack in on trend colors, are perfect for lightweight carrying.

Madewell x KEDS

In our opinion, Keds Footwear is one of the very first and original active brands ever founded. Due to a long history – both of style and performance – we were stoked to hear about its collaboration with fashion brand Madewell on a small capsule collection of stylish sneakers. The classic models feature on trend prints and patterns for the perfect combination of fashion and function fusing together.

Happy Festival Season!
