Ace Hotel and Japanese retailer Isetan Shinjuku recently opened a pop-up shop in Tokyo for the holidays. The hotel (with locations in Seattle, Portland, Palm Springs, and New York) has become a “go to” place for trend-seeking hipsters, so it only makes sense that the company is branding themselves in unexpected venues. Culture, collaborations, and a design aesthetic “that mixes uncluttered comfort with a bohemian vibe are Ace’s trademark.” The pop-up shop showcases gifts from Ace that give you a sense of the hotels and their home cities. Products include collaborations with Pendleton Woolen Mills, artist Evan Hecox, Generic Man, Dean Markley, Fjallraven of Sweden, Mackintosh, Coto, Le Labo, Wings & Horns, Project No. 8, Pearl Plus, Rudy’s Barbershops and many others. The space is open until Christmas.
