London: A youthful exuberance influenced by the street culture and New Wave bands from the Eighties came to life at McQ for Pre-fall 15. Iconic streetwear pieces were interpreted in technically advanced and sumptuous materials – for instance, a shearling-lined biker jacket took on the printed surface texture of raw concrete, while a hooded blouson in heavy crepe morphed into eveningwear attire. The silhouettes were straightforward here – tanks and column dresses were twisted and pleated, while a classic shift dress was adorned with marabou feathers, making the look exquisite and youthful at the same time. Elsewhere, structured tailoring was complimented with casual and sporty separates, bringing the rebellious McQ woman to the luxury side. – Diego Sanchez
