A Tiny Sliver of Wall Space

Keith Haring set the bar for graffiti artists when he painted a particular wall in New York City back in 1982. A tribute to his mural was unveiled last May in honor of Haring’s 50th birthday. The project was commissioned by the Keith Haring Foundation, Deitch Projects and the Goldman Properties, the owner of the tiny piece of wall. Brazilian brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, which go by the name Os Gemeos (Portuguese for The Twins), were recently asked to paint the famed space. Some of the identical twins’ previous work includes a 60-foot mural in Coney Island in 2005. The artists’ work on the wall at the corner of Houston and Bowery can be seen everyday except Sunday from 10am – 8pm, and will continue until this friday.
