A rustic take on sartorial sophistication at Sportmax

Milan: The Austrian painter Egon Schiele was the main inspiration behind the Sportmax Pre-fall 15 collection. The brand has gained momentum over the past few seasons turning fashion-forward inspirations into wearable, covetable clothes. The silhouettes were long and lean –  A-line coats were nipped at the waist by a single leather cord, while wraps, layers and circular cut panels on tops, outerwear and skirts created a thrilling sense of freshness throughout the whole lineup. There were many more standout pieces – impeccable tailored blazers, a suede tank dress featuring a peplum, an blanket stripe knitted set, cropped and wide tailored trousers – and the list goes on. The colour palette was predominantly focused on a festival of autumnal shades of russet, berry and rose hip. A rustic take on sartorial sophistication. – Diego Sanchez
