Paris: Julie de Libran’s second collection for the Left Bank house was a cozy and warm affair, headlined by fuzzy sweaters, thick knitted tights and shearling-trimmed coats. The designer inspiration came from images of a Rykiel show in the seventies and the result was a captivating journey into this strongly favored era. Stripes were spliced into Liberty silks and jacquards on dresses and jumpsuits, while flared and high-waisted sailor pants were presented in denim materials and frayed cuffs. Other standouts included covetable suede A-line skirts, high-waisted shorts and marabou coats. Jumpsuits were presented in softer cuts with drawstring waists; textured knit capes and plaid tailored suits highlighted the effortless Parisian cool of the house. A retro-flavored collection that embodied energy and sophistication. – Diego Sanchez
