London: For his first season at Issa, Jamie O’Hare lent a dark and rock-n’-roll mood to the labels traditionally more feminine and flirty aesthetic. O’Hare said he wanted to “..Nod to the confidence and sensuality of the Issa woman.” – he achieved this with a line up of commercial and sexy pieces; slinky maxi dresses – necklines slashed and thigh high splits, mini dresses skimmed the thighs, accented with crystal embellishment or lashings of fringe. The designer mixed clashing animal prints and undulating swirls in a monochrome palette, most notably on a woven cocoon coat in crocodile and a series of mix and match sets. Heavy fringing gave a nod to the seventies- a monochrome fringed jumpsuit and a weighty shaggy coat proving the stand out pieces in this theme. To ease the Issa girl into his new vision, O’Hare kept the brands signature draped jersey dress in the line up, updated in scarlet red and petrol hues. – Anna Ross
