Located in the tranquil Oxfordshire countryside just an hour from central London, Bicester Village is becoming an institution with savvy shoppers looking for a fashionable bargain or two. The discount village houses 130 premium designer boutiques including Gucci, Céline and Alexander McQueen and offers up to 60% discount on previous season’s collections.
Now in its third year, the annual British Designer Collective is collaboration between Bicester Village and the British Fashion Council, promoting the best in UK fashion with a 6 week pop-up store. The cute temporary fashion boutique houses collections from bright British fashion stars including Bella Freud, Nicholas Kirkwood, Jonathan Saunders, Peter Pilotto and Holly Fulton. Opened on the 22d March by its official spokesperson Alexa Chung, the pop-up store is a modern tribute to the English stately home, featuring bright block colors, illustrated paneling, mock parquet flooring and eccentric aristocratic statues. – Anna Jacobsen
British Designer Collective at Bicester Village is open to the May 9th, 2012.
