Paris…Always a designer to shy away from extreme trends and whimsical fashions, Véronique Nichanian presented a deliciously luxurious collection of high-end classics fit for any South of France aristocrat. The effortless and modest clothes were grounded in a mostly earthy palette of taupe, slate, and root brown, but a few refreshing pops of citron green also appeared on textured boat-neck sweaters and patterned shorts fit for an afternoon in St. Tropez. The evolved silhouette of the brand meant slightly cuffed trousers and relaxed-fitting jackets, something that certainly helped make the clothes look even younger (yet still age appropriate) than ever before. The few ties in the show, placed with unconstructed jackets, were loosely tied around the neck and made out of a shiny knit or satin.
