Paris: Clare Waight Keller, Creative Director at Chloe, sent out a very pretty, ‘boho’ inspired collection for Spring/Summer. Perhaps it was a little reminiscent of the audacious spirit imbued by the founder Gaby Aghion or a nod to the early days of Chloe under Lagerfeld, but either way, this was a creative lineup with a carefree, light-hearted spirit. The focus was on the fabrics, “laces that had flowers and birds, and the idea of utilitarian cotton and denim that, as you wear it, ages and starts to tell the story of your life” said Waight Keller. The message was indeed there in the use of breezy textiles such as cheesecloth, extravagant laces and the softest suede. The denim workwear influence also pervaded much of the collection but it was a beautiful balance to a perfect story. – Lizzy Bowring
