The Late Night Chameleon Cafe (get it LN-CC) is a by appointment only concept store where art, fashion and music play nice in a 6,000 square-foot space that was previously a boxing gym.
Welcomed by a skeletal tunnel of raw wood and orange acrylic, you’ll be entranced immediately upon entry – and over and over again as you shift from room to room. The space is divided into three themed concept areas (a book and record store, private event room and studio) that flawlessly subsume organic and industrial elements to make you feel as though you’re exploring a secret underground layer. Such is the power of Gary Card designs.
The library is fitted with asymmetrical shelving and art books curated by specialist Conor Donlon while (arguably) the most impressive room is a private club fixed with a mind-blowing sound system by guru Mickey Boyle.
As for the studio area, the stores platform is rooted in menswear, but the focus is on unisex merchandise. LN-CC prides itself on offering women a taste of edgy apparel with a masculine edge. London based designers J.W. Anderson and New Power Studio have tailored their menswear collections to women’s sizes exclusively for this concept.
