A Détacher

A Détacher presented another strong collection of classic yet uniquely charming separates and cocktail frocks for women who like to add a little quirkiness to workplace dressing.  Prints and chemically treated textures recalled elements in nature.  A smattering of brown flecks gave the illusion of bark, with sprouts of rich violet roses scattered throughout to signal the start of spring.  Designer Mona Kowalska continued to develop her knitwear with peek-a-boo crochet dresses and separates configured in innovative patterns.  Matching leggings and bright grid-patterned cardigans — that appeared to be worn inside out — turned ladylike dressing on its head.  Small details like creatively-placed zippers and outerwear-inspired elements added a unique touch to the must-have jumpsuits and cropped trousers of the season.
