A Breathtaking Folkloric sojourn at BCBGMAXAZRIA

New York: New York Fashion Week got off to a breathtaking beginning with an inspirational collection from BCBGMAXAZRIA.  Lubov Azria took a recent sojourn from Barcelona across to the Baltic. It was here that the rich cultures provided the influence for the intricate and exquisitely embellished embroideries and pretty paisleys that adorned many of the statement coats and lighter than air silk dresses. Layered silhouettes in a light palette of creams and browns and a range of greys, were offset by pure white and pops of orange and pink.  However, it was the coats, in a varied range of cropped to oversized and long, and the final outfit of Bohemian sensibility, richly embroidered and hand beaded, that stole the show. An eclectic mix with a truly luxe statement. – Lizzy Bowring
