Let’s be honest, the Active Team doesn’t typically report on Holiday themed items…our industry isn’t necessarily the best at adorning Santa on snowboards or Easter bunny images placed on sneakers. (Nor would we wear them either.) This year is a bit different. There is a flux of amazing product from some of our favorite heavy hitters for Halloween  – and with October 31st right around the corner, how could we resist on getting in on some spooky fun?

A favorite from the streetwear scene, HUF created a special Plantlife Halloween pack. Dressed up in traditional orange and black, the brand kept it simple and to the point. Ranging through multiple colorways of socks and a hat, it is subtle enough to be worn year-round.

Known for his intricate and elaborate customs, Diversitile created his It’s Alive Dunk Highs bringing in all of the gory details from the classic Frankenstein. They are detailed enough to give anyone some serious chills.

In a collaboration between Converse and the SF-based retailer Shoebiz, a Halloween collection was inspired by local artists Alán González and Kris Mestizo. The two pairs of kicks (one with mummy details, the other playing off the idea of X-ray glasses) are both being sold with 100% of the profits going to Youth Against Poverty and Compass Family Services.

Another custom spotted earlier this month was from Gourmetkickz adding some pumpkin themed fun to the Nike Zoom Rookie. If the typical orange and black motif isn’t enough, hit the lights to see the jack-o-lantern grin appear across the front of the shoe.
