Over the last 100 years, the little black dress has become the ultimate expression of chic – an absolute must-have for fashionable women everywhere. In celebration, Swarovski Elements commissioned 22 renowned designers and talented newcomers to design one-of-a-kind dresses featured in a traveling exhibit. Each designer, including Diane von Furstenberg, Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci and Lanvin by Alber Elbaz, created a dress incorporating Swarovski Elements embellishments to be put on display in the Phillips de Pury & Company gallery from September 7 through September 20. After the exhibit, each dress will be auctioned off under the patronage of France’s first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and La lingue nationale contre le cancer in France.
