With the sun out in most parts of the US, April 1st marks Opening Day for Major League Baseball. Dusting off mitts and throwing the ball around each spring – baseball is known for its classic style influencing everything from runway fashion to streetwear each season in various shapes and forms. That being said, we figured what better way to get inspired than with a roundup of some of our favorite Baseball themed gear from around the industry for Spring/Summer 13.

The Runway:

Each spring, the influence of baseball typically seeps into a handful of assortments across multiple Runway designers. The Spring/Summer 13 season is no different with labels such as Hermes, Shades of Grey and Neil Barrett each presenting looks with key aspects from what a baseball player would don – Henley detailing, baseball shirts with snap fronts and matching shorts/bottoms evoke the feeling of playing on the field:

Streetwear:

One of the most iconic items form the Baseball uniform is the satin dugout jacket. Classic colors, and basic traditional striping popped up at Supreme and Undefeated, with simple color-blocking to allow this piece to be reinvented time and time again while staying true to the original.
