Well folks…another year of the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado has come and gone. From January 26th to 29th, a record number of attendees and fans braved the cold to watch a range of events from skiing to snowmobiling, as well as our personal favorite, snowboarding. Year after year, it becomes more and more clear, the X Games is certainly THE forum, where both performance and style come together for Action Sports.
The Active Team was in the thick of everything, yet from a fashion perspective, some of the biggest news, from our eyes, was what pro snowboarder Shaun White wore on Sunday night during the Superpipe finals. Of course White won Gold – no one can really touch his level of riding these days – and we were beyond stoked to see him raise the bar and take risks by wearing tight, black and white animal printed snowboarding pants. He topped it off with a sleek black jacket with leather sleeves that also highlighted his trim silhouette. (Which is something that has been gaining traction for men in the snowboarding scene over the past two seasons.) Both pieces are from The White Collection by Burton Snowboards for next season that White personally designs with his brother Jesse.
We had front row seats of the pipe to the point where we got to hug and cheer on some our favorite riders including Silver medalist Iouri Podladtchikov, Danny Davis, Louie Vito and Luke Mitrani.
Other pros we caught up with additionally included the always fashionable Gretchen Bleiler and Kevin Peace, with his brother Adam. Kevin was manning the X Games webcast, and we couldn’t be happier to see him back on snow where he belongs!

On the skiing front, we also had a chance to briefly chat and say hello to pro, Tanner Hall – another athlete who continues to exude a exceedingly cool and unique sense of style all his own.
