On Tuesday night luxury eyewear group Luxotica unveiled the winners of the 2nd annual Vogue Eyewear/CFDA capsule collection at the Sunglasses Hut flagship store in New York.
The 2011 Vogue Eyewear/CFDA “City Collection” has been created by three of America’s most talented designers, each of whom created a pair of sunglasses inspired by their love for the most unique and fashionable cites in the world: Monica Botkier for Miami, Rebecca Minkoff for New York City and Yeohlee Teng for Los Angeles.
Following the selection process, Monica Botkier, Rebecca Minkoff and Yeohlee Teng were sent on an inspirational trip to their corresponding city, documenting their creative process with the help of three of the fashion world’s most influential bloggers. Aimee Song of “Song of Style” headed to Miami to work with Monica Botkier, Natalie Suarez of “Natalie Off Duty” collaborated with Rebecca Minkoff in New York City and Jane Aldridge of “Sea of Shoes” went to Los Angeles to document Yeohlee Teng. Video blogs were taken to document each aspect of the creative process, from Miami, Los Angelesand New York giving customers and fans an inside look at what it takes to conceive, create and produce the perfect pair of fashion sunglasses.
The “City Collection” is available to buy online and in-store at Sunglasses Hut.
