While the USA, Great Britain and Austria paid homage to heritage and vintage Olympic wear, Russia proudly walked in appliquéd varsity jackets. Bright reds, yellow, and royal blue were among the most popular colors chosen for solid color blocks designs. The more venturesome countries – Czech Republic and Azerbaijan- sauntered bravely in bright printed jackets and paisley patterned pants.
