Fashion as an artform: the designers who showed in Paris definitely blurred the boundaries between luxury retail and works of art, WGSN reports
In Paris, fashion month’s final stop, the collections have blown our breath away. The looks were non-traditional, and really pushed the boundaries of what clothing, colour, textiles and patterns can achieve. Rick Owens sent his models down the stairs in clouds covering their faces, adding to the drama of the performance and Comme des Garcons continued to display art rather than classic outfits, with a collection that looked like beautiful armour.
NY Times photographer Bill Cunningham said it best when he said Paris Fashion Week is where you go to “educate the eye” and remind yourself of the possibility of fashion.
