London’s pre-eminent bespoke bike builders 14 Bike Co. have teamed up with the Red Stripe on the 7th installment of its Boiler Room Make Session series.
Bikes? Beer? Music? If there’s a better way for the Active Team to spend an imminent Monday evening, we haven’t found it yet. Cue London’s pre-eminent bespoke bike builders 14 Bike Co., who have teamed up with the fine makers of Jamaican lager [Red Stripe, who else] on the 7th installment of its Make Session series. Rounding out this triumverate of excellence is Boiler Room, a roving electronic music night launched in London in April 2010 that brings a lineup of international DJs to a range of locations, livestream-ed online for those who can’t make it or prefer to enjoy the set from their very own boiler room party at another location.
How does it all come together? The “Make” in the title refers to the live make-ing of something, and in this latest 007 case 14 Bike Co. will live-build 5 bikes inspired by Red Stripe while a host of underground DJs spin the decks: Steve Braiden, XXXY, [Dj] Midland and Paul Woolford, playing a range of “…experimental techno, harmonious house, electro, garage, 2-step and dub” amongst the 4 of them. And of course, a number of those pleasantly-familiar squat brown bottles with the iconic red&white logo will be on hand for BRMSRs, or Boiler-Room-Make-Session-Revelers.
Though the event is invite-only, those interested can watch the festivities here, and check back on this blog for coverage after the event.
