100 Years of Brooks

To celebrate 100 years of Brooks Running, the brand has launched a Heritage Collection bringing back two silhouettes from its vault.

“Leveraging 100 years of groundbreaking design and technology as well as a brand steeped in the running culture, Brooks aims to re-create the magic of the 1970s and ’80s through compelling, inspirational and historical footwear that will create a visceral response from customers young and mature alike,” said Shane Downey, Heritage Business Manager. The Brooks Heritage Footwear Collection pays homage to the running boom of the ’70s by bringing back running models that were cutting edge in their day, bundled with modern aesthetics to create a sleek street-style shoe.”

The Vanguard, originally introduced in 1976, is the quintessential 70’s shoe and stands as the signature shoe of the collection. With a simple upper and classic, paired -down outsole, the shoe is introduced in classic colorways that give a nod to that time period.

The Vantage debuted in 1976 and featured the patented Brooks Varus Wedge. Also boasting the classic chevron design and updated with breathable mesh, paired with nubuck leathers.

After a launch party in New York City, Brooks now has the collection available for sale in multiple colors on their site, all referencing the 1970’s hay-day of these two models. From materials to color palettes, to fit, these are the perfect summer edition.
