WGSN for Japan Relief Fund
When the devastating quake and subsequent tsunami hit Japan on March 11, the Japanese displayed great strength– their spirit, tenacity and civil discipline inspired us. In their persevering battle to conquer Mother Nature, the Japanese resolutely – and quickly – started rebuilding their cities, their roads and their lives.
As the disaster unfolded over the next few weeks, Japanese citizens came together to demonstrate “jishuku”, or self restraint. In respect for their fellow citizens, the fashion industry voluntarily put on the brakes, cancelling Japan Fashion Week and postponing store openings and events.
In honour of our Japanese colleagues, our incredible clients and the city’s fashion industry, WGSN hopes to raise funds and provide support to Japan through various activities. Rebuilding will be a challenging process- start helping now.
