At an age where most young people are finishing up college and wondering what to do with their life, 23 year old Esteban Cortazar just showed his first collection for the venerable house of Emanuel Ungaro. There was an acknowledgment toward the founding designer who made his name creating power clothes for socialites in the ’80s in the form of many draped looks. This included a one-shouldered silk blouse and jersey skirt, a goddess gown and a slouchy hoodie worn over a ruffle-neck dress. The color palette was mostly muted and prints were few. In all it was a quiet affair, perhaps because this is a rather subdued season.
