MILAN…Print expert Jonathan Saunders and Nicholas Kirkwood have taken over the reins at established Italian house Pollini this season. Straying from the stark ethnic tones of seasons past, their small debut collection lightened things up this time around with a playful combination of flirty and tailored pieces. Focusing on color and pattern, flouncy chiffon dresses and ice skating skirts were awash in various polka dot prints while punchy colorblocking turned otherwise prim collared dresses into head turners.  Although some of the crisp origami details of the few sharper pieces may be a bit too mature for juniors, on the whole this feminine collection offers ample inspiration with its impressive use of print, color and movement.
