Runway: The Lake & Stars

The cult lingerie line presents their third collection at New York Fashion Week.

New York: It’s safe to say that The Lake & Stars have carved out their own niche in not only intimates, but the fashion world at large. In their third season at New York Fashion Week, the Brooklyn design duo presented an increasingly refined collection of ready-to-wear and what-to-wear-under for the downtown/Billyburg set.

In terms of the “under,” bondage remained a major leitmotif; however, black latticework details and architectural lines unraveled in softer fashion amidst a Valentine’s-perfect palette of petal pink, creamy nude and oxblood. Standout pieces include ingenious button tab tap pants (paired with their signature ribboned blouson camis), keyhole bralettes, mesh midriffs and modern-retro shaper slips.
