Paris…Yves Saint Laurent

In a palette of black, white and grey, Stefano Pilati said, “I have to reflect the times, and this really is my mood.” Starting off with the motorcycle jacket, he looked back at many of the pinnacle moments in the French house’s history including elements of leather and flannel, crisp white shirts, and tuxedo looks. Elongated leather jackets featured motocross details like asymmetrical zippers, buckles and slit pockets. A satin lapel was a key detail on a Le Smoking jacket as well as on an elongated version worn as a dress. Black pinstripe suiting pieces were separated from head to toe looks, with a pencil skirt worn with a deep-V woven shirt and a “boyfriend” style blazer worn on its own over opaque hosiery.
