New York: Marcus Wainwright and David Neville of Rag & Bone are never afraid to go in their own direction. No matter what the designers come up with each season, they always create guaranteed hits for their faithful customer. Known for their tailored blazers, denim and outerwear, Rag & Bone’s Pre-Fall included plenty of versatile options. Gauzy, floor length skirts met up with slick leather motorcycle jackets, slouchy openweave sweaters topped asymmetric hem dresses, and a-line tanks gave slashed skirts sporty edge. Patterns were scaled back; faded stripes for a pair of linen shorts and coordinating shrunken blazer, indistinct tie-dyed for wrapped headscarves. Footwear, as usual, will likely prove a hit, especially the chunky black booties with contrast laces completing many looks.—Nina Stotler
