Whether you’re a buyer, a designer or simply a devout fashion enthusiast, it’s easy to notice a few reoccurring runway trends. Every season a few reliable patterns walk down the runway. Do you know what they are?

If you guessed dots, stripes, florals and animal prints, you’re spot on! These pattern staples are industry pillars, meaning they never get old and can be easily interpreted every season. Whether you’re a Betsy Johnson girl, a Peter Som sophisticate or a Gryphon professional, animal prints will ultimately find their way into your closet.

1. Stripes: This runway season, line is being used to highlight shape and movement. It’s both bold and optic and sheer and flowing.

2. Florals: Strong elements relating back to the 70’s and 90’s with bright, intense, metallic applications

3. Dots: Some are sweet and incorporated into fun shapes, as with Tanya Taylor, while others are bold and optic as with Marimekko.

4. Animal Print: Of course still popular, we love the bold and highly stylized feline looks as much as the subtle sophisticated sheens.
