NYC-LA: Rookie Hits the Road

Tavi Gevinson, everyone’s favorite pint-sized blogger, is now a super-sweet sixteen and ready to undertake that fabled Great American rite of passage: the cross-country road trip. In partnership with Urban Outfitters, all-girl art collective The Ardorous and Tavi’s teen-friendly online mag Rookie, The Rookie Road Trip kicks off on June 25th in NYC, with stops in thirteen states. The lovely Ms. Gevinson and her BFFs will be taking over all sorts of venues along the way, from ice cream parlors to vintage shops, hanging out with fans, giving workshops on creating your own ‘zine, hosting readings from Rookie contributors, throwing dance parties, and generally being way cooler than your average bunch of high schoolers. This twee tour comes to an end on July 21st in L.A., where Urban Outfitters’ Space 15 Twenty will host a full week of Rookie-approved fun, including an art show complete with opening reception. You may not be a kid anymore, but that doesn’t mean you can’t party like one! xx Ashley Churchill
