New Kill City Store: Melrose L.A.

Awesome L.A.-based Kill City jeans opened a new store on Melrose to house all their rock ‘n’ roll goodies.

Kill City Jeans is a brand that has a real sense of identity; founder Drew Bernstein was a punk kid in L.A. when he began making leggings and clothes for friends and eventually rock gods such as Mick Jagger, Axl Rose, Aerosmith and Motley Crue.

His first label, Original Cult, morphed into the two brands we know and love today: Lip Service and Kill City. What’s refreshing about Kill City is its ability to tap into trends really early by just doing its own thing and being true to its customer, rather than the fickle fashion market. They brought out Aztec print skinnies about four seasons before anyone else – we remember from attending so many Vegas trade shows!

The most exciting Kill City news is that they recently opened a new store on Melrose in their home town of Los Angeles and held a suitably rock ‘n’ roll-style bash to celebrate last week. They even used legendary Metal burger van, Grill Em All, for post-drinking nibbles.

Next time you’re in L.A., go check it out!
