Moschino Cheap and Chic S/S 2013

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS
London: It is Moschino Cheap and Chic’s second season in London, and the city seems to suit the label well. Though always upbeat, the current collection had an added spring to its step. A tropical getaway seemed to be on designer Rosella Jardini’s mind; pineapples in punchy tones were stamped on separates, and variations on the tracksuit were cheeky takes on vacation wear. 1970s references were also present, with flared-leg patterned pants and a long dress emblazoned with a giant peace sign, but tailored suits and prim dresses offered a ladylike counterpoint. Jewel embellishments and fancy buttons provided a flashy finishing touch. –Joanna Manganaro
