Inspiration | Zombie Boy Uncovered

Zombie Boy reveals another side to him in this eerily angelic editorial in Schon Magazine.

Rick Genest, aka Zombie Boy, is known for his defiance of convention and traditional beauty standards. He shot to fame for his full face and body tattoos after being discovered by Nicola Formichetti. Since then, he’s appeared in Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” music video and opened the Thierry Mugler F/W 11 show. This eerily angelic editorial with  Schön Magazine shows a different side of him, offering glimpses of skin (tattoos were selectively erased by makeup artist Dylan K Hanson) underneath the tattoos. Genest is, perhaps, the ultimate personification of the power of transformation. While women wake up and “put on their face,” Genest has made his permanent.
